- The hardware device is not activated or there is anomaly with the hardware device.
i. Check if the device has been activated. Connect it with the Magene Utility software to confirm. If it hasn't been activated, follow the steps prompted by the software to activate it before use.
ii. If it has been activated, observe whether Magene Utility can display data normally during actual pedaling.
1. If there is data: The hardware of the smart trainer is normal, and the problem most likely lies in the settings of the cycling software.
2.If there is no data, then the speed-measuring module of the smart trainer may be abnormal. Contact the brand to confirm matters regarding repair.
- If the hardware settings are normal, then check the settings and compatibility of the cycling software.
i. Check software membership/subscription: Some professional cycling software operates on subscription-based system. If the membership/trial has not been activated, core data such as speed and power will be blocked. You need to recharge in the software for use.
ii. Check if the connection method is wrongly selected.
Select the real smart trainer (Bluetooth/ANT+ with speed/power indication), delete the old connection, and search and pair with the smart trainer again.
iii. The smart trainer device and the software have not been adapted, and the protocols do not match.
Currently, the smart trainer supports the standard ANT+ protocol and the standard Bluetooth FTMS protocol. If the protocols are not compatible, contact both manufacturers to negotiate for adaptation.
